Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use the EkoGo Platform (“Platform”) and related services (“Services”).

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue using the Platform.

1. Data Controller

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Platform, you confirm that:

  • You have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and the Privacy Policy
  • You are at least 13 years old.
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement

3. User Accounts

3.1. Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You agree not to use false identities, impersonate or pose as others. We will remind you to update and/or confirm your information on a regular basis.

3.2. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3.3. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time.
Upon deletion, we will not unduly delay the processing of deletion requests in ensuring the erasure.

We may terminate or suspend your account if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • You engage in harmful or fraudulent behavior
  • The Platform is discontinued

3.4. Data Governance

Data governance shall be according to the Privacy Policy. If you consent, the Platform may collect your location to display nearby restaurants. This consent can be withdrawn.

4. User Generated Content

4.1. Ownership

You retain ownership of content you create, including:

  • Reviews
  • Ratings
  • Photos
  • Comments

4.2. License You Grant Us

By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content within the Platform and related promotional materials.

This license excludes personal data protected under GDPR unless you explicitly consent. This consent can be withdrawn at any time, however, due to the nature of the world-wide-web we cannot guarantee the perfect erasure of the content once it has been published. We can guarantee the deletion and removal from our promotional materials if the consent is withdrawn.

4.3. Content Standards

You may not upload content that is:

  • Illegal or defamatory
  • Hate speech, discrimination, or harassment
  • Copyright-infringing
  • Misleading or fraudulent
  • Commercial advertising or spam
  • Violating privacy rights of others

We may remove any content that breaches these rules. If you find that we have mistakenly flagged your content as violating any of these terms you can appeal the decision by emailing us GDPR@mail.ekogoapp.com.

5. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property — including software, logos, design, and Platform features — is owned by Ekomatcentrum.
You may not reproduce or distribute Platform content without permission.

6. Restaurant Information & Third-Party Content

Restaurant listings, menus, photos, and data may come from third parties. We do not guarantee the accuracy or availability of this information.

We are not liable for:

  • Incorrect restaurant information
  • Opinions expressed in user reviews
  • Third-party service errors

7. Limitation of Liability and Indemnification

In accordance with the Terms and the EU laws, we are not liable for:

  • Loss of data not caused by negligence or inadequate safety measures
  • Loss of data caused by the user
  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Invalid and inaccurate information provided by the users or restaurants
  • Misuse of the Platform
  • Content posted by you
  • Your violation of these Terms

In case our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to a reasonable amount derived from the average of comparable circumstances within the last 12 months in the region.

8. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time and will notify you through the Platform or email. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden and European Union regulations.
Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Sigtuna/ Stockholm county, unless the law or regulation dictates otherwise.
