EkoGo ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your information when you use our app (available on Google Play) in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable EU data protection laws.

Ekomatcentrum is a non-profit organisation registered in Sweden. We are the data controller of the personal data processed through this application within the scope of the Ce4Re project partly funded by Interreg Central Baltic.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide and improve our services and to comply with Google Play requirements.
a. Information You Provide
- Account Details: Name, email address, login credentials (if you register or sign in)
- Optional information: Gender, age, dietary preferences etc.
- Content: Reviews, comments, ratings, media you submit, reports and location.
- Support Request: If you contact support or report a problem.
b. Automatically Collected Data
- Device information: operating system, app version, IP address, diagnostics
- User usage: interactions, navigation behavior, crash reports
- Location data (optional): approximate location to show relevant restaurants
c. Information from Third Parties
- Social Login Data: If you log in using Google, Apple, or Facebook, we may receive your name, email address, and profile picture.
- Analytics Providers: Aggregated usage data from analytics tools.

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

We do not sell your personal data. Your data may be accessed by or shared with:
- With trusted service providers (e.g. analytics, hosting) under strict confidentiality
- If required by law or legal process
- In aggregated or anonymized form for business insights
- With your consent (e.g., posting public reviews) to other users and/or restaurants
6. Data Transfers
Your data is stored in the European Economic Area (EEA). If we ever transfer data outside the EEA, we will ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place. We will notify you and provide with proper reason and documentation as to why we would transfer outside of EEA, should it be necessary.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data as long as needed for the purposes described above and will refrain from unduly delays in deletion. You can request to delete your account and data by:
- Going to User > Account info > Login and security > Delete account in the app
- Or emailing us at GDPR@mail.ekogoapp.com
8. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including secure hosting, encrypted communication (HTTPS), and access control. However, no method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, thus we encourage strong passwords and caution using shared devices.
9. Children’s Privacy
Our app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us.
